A two-month journey circling Australia was terminated days after the death of an older lady who was stranded by the ship on a remote tropical isle.

The passenger had been walking on the tropical location with shipmates from the vessel, but separated from the group for a break. The vessel left without her and went back several hours later after the personnel discovered the woman was unaccounted for.

An extensive hunt located her person the next day.

Investigative bodies are examining the event, in coordination with police and the state coroner.

The CEO of the cruise operator stated that passengers and personnel on the vessel were informed that the rest of the cruise had been cancelled due to the "tragic passing and previous engine troubles".
